City Council – Just what is a City Council and what do they do?
A city council is a form of government that is used in many towns and cities around the world. The members of the council are elected by the citizens, and they work together to pass laws, make general policies, supervise city government, and appropriate funds for various needs. They are elected every two years.
Collectively, your Rocksprings City Council empowers the democratic process by local decision-making and action by, and on behalf of our community. They are your voice for a better community. Meetings are held the second Monday of every month at City Hall, 100 Austin Street, (unless otherwise noted). Meetings commence at 6:00pm. We invite you to participate in local government.
